Football is the king of boys’ sports. If you have the time, nerve, and money, it can be a great experience for you and your boy. Two of my boys played tackle for the first time this year. One of them really enjoyed it, the other one endured it. Both of them really grew from the experience, and even though I am not a die-hard football fan, it was the best sporting experience we have had so far. Some things to be aware of:
1) People get hurt playing football.
2) Football is an expensive and time consuming sport.
3) Your son will sweat, bleed, and maybe even cry.
4) Your son will develop a great understanding of teamwork camaraderie, and responsibility, and make lifelong memories.
