If you want to experiment with electronics, an easy way to build circuits is to use a solderless breadboard.
Breadboards are designed to connect electronic components together in an easy, neat, secure way. To connect two pieces of wire, just push them into holes that are connected electrically. To know which holes are connected, look at the picture below:
The red lines show how the “wires” that connect the holes together are situated. If you put a wire into holes that are touched by the red line, they will be connected together. The holes without red lines are connected in the same way, (I just didn’t draw them all).
Here is a look at the back of a breadboard. You can see the conductors are arranged in strips.
