Robonaut 2 is on his way to the International Space Station this week. Featured in the Super Bowl, Robonaut 2 is a joint effort between NASA and General Motors. R2 is a self powered robot that is extremely dexterous and able to help astronauts on board the ISS. It may eventually help on EVA’s. It is currently scheduled to go into space this year.
